Garry Capko, FSA, MAAA
Consulting Actuary
Garry joined ARC in 2020 and focuses primarily on Prophet consulting projects. Prior to joining ARC, he has gained experience in a variety of roles including running an independent consulting company producing online seminars for FSA exams in addition to his 7 years spent in a range of positions at a major life insurance company.
Over the course of his career, Garry has acquired a broad scope of knowledge in both domestic and international markets. Examples vary from traditional roles such as reporting and actuarial modeling to more exotic projects including an international shared service center start-up, developing internal training programs, and coordinating a large-scale international system migration to Prophet. An entrepreneur at heart, Garry’s desire to find challenges and embrace change has led him to engage in various projects around the world both in and out of the actuarial field.
His recent activity has centered on Prophet conversion projects for life and annuity products with a specific focus on US GAAP valuation/analysis. His ability to work across teams has allowed him to play an integral part in assisting clients to establish comprehensive model governance frameworks as well as establishing stable end-to-end processes.
